How I converted my car from gas to electric
Because this car was an automatic, I had to build a bigger plate to cover the hole in the floor..and attach the shifter to it that I got through E Bay with the manual trans that I purchased..
The manual trans had to be hooked up with the automatic frame, so I built a mount to rig it up...The shifter tube called a bowden tube I believe, was about 15 inches shorter for the squareback than the beetle it came out of, so I needed to cut and extend it...
